Here are a couple of pictures of a fighter I managed to get out this winter. I am not sure if I care for the damascus spacer now that it is done. The blade is a five bar composite of oppossing, interrupted, twisted w's made from 01 and L6 and the guard is 416 stainless.

I like everything about that knife. I LOVE the Damascus spacer; it looks wonderful.

I love that style of fighter. What you did with the shape of the ferrule/spacer and handle is something I find very much appeals to my taste. Unfortunately, the pattern of the steel isn't showing up very well.

I can see what you mean about the spacer. Is it too late to blue it? That might be cool.
But, I think you have a winner on your hands, (in your hand, actually) regardless:thumbup:.

Very nice, When you fist mentioned the spacer I thought the same thing, However, after Gawking at it I think it provides a nice "transition" from the blackwood to the guard. I like it.

Really like it Bill.
Nice overall proportions, very nice blade and handle shapes.
Good choice on the damascus spacer as it jazzes it up a bit.
At first I though a single pin would be nice, but then the elegant
handle stands very well on it's own.

Looks like you really nailed that one.....great taper to the blade and handle shape. :)

First class fighter looks very quick in the hand. I like the subtle little curve in the bottum guard and overall one of the nicer fighters I have seen in awhile.. Elegant but not over done.. Bravo

Excellent fighter......Blade looks to be very light and quick....

Thanks for the look.....

Bill,

That looks awesome! I might agree with you about the width of the damascus spacer (it and the ricasso are a tiny bit long for my personal taste), but the knife overall rocks. The crowned spine is a very nice touch.

when it comes to the damascus spacer, I am of the mind that the knife has such nice lines it doesn't need any bling. It has a kind of seething, subtle vibe which makes its purpose felt. But like I said, it's a winner either way from what I can see.

I for one think that spacer looks great. I don't think it detracts from the handle, or the overall appearance of the knife either.
