Blackbeard cutless...SOLD!

This is what Blackbeard was carrying the last time I saw him.He wanted me to put his picture on the handle so thats what I did.He told me it looks just like him...MEAN! After I woke up from my 67 hour dream I realized what I had done.Now for the truth.....Specs are below!

OAL of knife;18 1/2 inches
Blade;12 1/2 inches Hollow ground 15N20/1084 Damascus.Blood grove.File work on spine.Floating guard I milled from the same piece of steel.
Handle;Original Sperm Whale tooth with a Walrus Ivory face behind the guard that almost matches the color of the dentine on the end of the tooth.Black spacers.I scrimshawed Blackbeard on the top of the handle.

I am working on a display for the knife and on that display will be the other Sperm Whale tooth in the photos.IF someone purchases the knife they will have the option of what they want scrimmed on the Whale tooth.Thanks for taking a look!

I was contemplating a scrim involving Blackbeard of course, spongebob, a pegleg and a blowhole.
That has the potential of increasing the value quite a bit!

Excellent idea.....But someone has to buy the knife first and on a high end item in today"s economy it might just sit a draw dust.

For those of you who have not seen Ray's work in person, it is spectacular. I have a few for show and a few for go. I sent him one back so he could enter it in a 'Best of Show' division at a west coast show recently. It did not win, but he was offered $600 more than he sold it to me for. I have some of his mammoth carvings I sell elsewhere. They may collect a little dust, but, damn you just blow it off and fight them zombies! I was contemplating a scrim of a pirate swinging in an iron maiden...
