Ok...the time has come to finally buy a cell phone. I need the internet access, so I decided that these phones were among my best options. What I would like is input on the 3 so I can determine which one is the best choice.

Thanks y'all

I really like my blackberry curve. I got the $50 otter box case and it has help up pretty well. A few of my friends have I Phones and they are cool but they seem to break the screen every 6months to a year atleast. To me that is a big reason to stay away.

The new BB Curve 2 (8530) sucks. It's thin and feels cheap. The Droid is nice but the problem I have with it is that the slide up screen gets extremely loose after repeated use. I use Verizon so the iPhone is out as they are only on AT&T.

I chose the Storm 2. Best phone I have ever had. Does everything I want it to do and more. Lots of cool and productive apps (many which are free). Look into the Storm 2.

If you want the old Curve 8330 I have 2 sitting here doing nothing that I will gladly part with. One is new, the other is used.

I have both the blackberry for work and an iPhone for personal.

Can't live without my iPhone ... I hacked one for my wife and I and use it on T-Mobile with their unlimted data plan for $9.99 per month.

I would check to see what carrier provides the best coverage in your area (particularly where you spend the majority of your time)...just talk to friends and family and see what they say.

That being said, I have the Droid Incredible, and it is indeed that (minus the battery life, or lack there of).

Also, what do plan on doing most with the phone? Blackberry's email system is very good. All three of your options have good apps available.

Check out phonearena.com for reviews of the phones..it's a pretty good site

The phones are carried by AT&T and Verizon down here. Both have comparable coverage in my area of travel. E-mail is a necessity for work, but that's about it. I don't care if it plays music like the Iphone, but that would eliminate the need for carrying the ipod separately.

I have a Droid. I NEVER use the slide-out keyboard, so if I were to buy a phone right now, it would be the HTC Incredible or the Iphone 4gs. I hate Blackberries.

I had a Storm, it was a PITA for a few months until the firmware was rolled out. I just got a HTC Incredible and it's awesome. It's going to take some time to get used to. Luckily, I pay $10/month and work pays the rest. Not sure if I am going to keep the HTC though, It's really think, the menus are a bit hidden on some things and you have to sit down and really set the phone up to do what you want and not what you don't.

Blackberry is a decent phone, the problem is that they are seemingly too far into being proprietary and do not really share common apps with other manufacturers. Also, there is a lot of limitations on what some BBs can do, like the Storm.

i have 2 verizon lines...business line has a blackberry curve; i won't change from it as it is very good with email...the curve itself is fine; no complaints.

personal line, i can get a new phone if i want...currently i'm using a lg env3...friends are pushing the droid on me, but i really don't want/need one...i don't care about apps; or games, or multimedia on my phone...but i do like a phone to be good at texting, and keyboards can do it faster than a touchscreen type...probably stay with the env3 till it falls apart...

if the iphone was available on verizon that would be a pass too...i got a itouch (which i rarely use) so i know what the iphone feels like...

the cell phone is just a communication device to me, nothing more...i will never truly understand why almost everyone has a desperate lust over cell phones; it's nearly as bad as video gamers (who are some of the most vapid personalities i know)...

I've had many smart phones and finally gave in and got an iPhone last year and I love it. I don't text though so I don't care about a physical keyboard.

I have had a "smart phone" since before the term was coined. I insist on a keyboard on my phone because most of what I do with it is text, e-mail, or web. I was really hesitant to go iPhone because of the lack of a keyboard. And it was rough for a few hours. Then, there was literally a breakthrough moment when suddenly I shifted to screen typing and now I thumb-type faster on the screen than I ever did on a keyboard.

I love my iPhone. By far the best phone I have ever had.

If you need a smartphone i'd say samsung wave, i don't know if it's available in the usa but a couple of my friends have one and i can honestly say it's way better than an iphone

i don't know anything about the blackberry so i'll keep my mouth shut on that one

I like the Droid very much. I also like verizon very much. In my experience Verizon beats At&t in New Mexico, Arizona & Oregon. If I could get an Iphone with Verizon service it would be a hard call for me. But for now Droid is an easy choice.

You can load your music on the newer Blackberries via their desktop manager, and pull your video and pics off of it, also. You may want to look at the Blackberry App site and read some reviews of the different applications. Lots of complaints about the Storm not running certain apps, especially those that need the use of a trackball.

V happy with my iphone 3gs. Only downside is that the calendar functionality isn't as sophisticated as my old Blackberry Curve. The simple phone options (big 'buttons" and simply accessible options while on a call) are a plus of the iphone for me. Dialing on the Blackberry = pain, especially without my glasses. Thumb typing great after a while as other have said.

Not tried a Droid.
YMMV

Just wait until December and get the 4G Iphone when it comes to Verizon (wishful thinking :) )

That is not going to happen, my friend. It was supposed to. But now, it's not since AT&T renewed their contract with Apple until 2012. They wanted the 4G iPhone before Verizon got it. Once again Verizon customers get screwed by the greedy Steve Jobs.

I would hold off on a droid phone till 2.2 hits the streets in force, it's suppose to be a lot better than 2.1 but not all droid phones will get 2.2 when it comes out.

If you get the Droid with 2.1 you can force 2.2 on it. My BIL did it the other day and it fixes the battery issue and it is a whole lot faster now that the memory leak was fixed as well.

Hmmm, that's cool, would love 2.2 on my Hero.
