This is one of my 5" bladed Kwaikens, made of .250" 1084, strong distal taper and full flat grind, with a tapered tang and toxic green G10 under the resin soaked wrap. The entire blade is powdercoated black. I really dig the serious contrast!
The beveled spine is spring tempered.

Please note the small area at the spine where the powdercoat was scuffed by my clamping system during final sharpening. It's certainly not going to effect performance, but unfortunately there's no way around this with my current system for grinding an accurate primary edge, at least on my powdercoated blades that are so heavily distally tapered. Just pointing it out for full disclosure!
