Well, I managed to handle one in passing only (I arrived at my friend's gear/gunstore at closing time) but that brief time I handled it makes it seem to be one promising "tactical" folder!
First, the spear point blade is plenty useful for any application you could think of, combat or otherwise.
Second, the ergo's are awesome! Just the right amount of retention for it's "fighting" usage without locking your hand uneccesarily. Also, for practical usage, because the fingers are slightly raised above the blade's cutting edge, in theory it seems to be a great slicer (though admittedly I'll have to use it extensively to verify this).
Lastly, and prob'ly the most important, THIS THING MADE ME A BELIEVER ON WHAT A WELL-MADE LINER LOCK SHOULD BE! I've never been fond of this particular lock-type ever since my old knife disengaged and gave me a tiny nick on my pinky! But think about it; ideally this should be THE lock to have for a fighting knife since it eliminates contact with the grip and possibly disengaging it. Easier said that done huh? But the design execution on the lock on this thing is BEAUTIFUL! The locking liner is flush with the body/scales and THICK enough that it took 2 hands to close! It's thats strong and secure!
My only gripe is that it could be just a tad longer, as in 3.5" cutting edge and slightly narrower in width, although I understand this width compensates for its relative shortness.
Sorta reminds me of an uncle of mine who could literally fix a TV, an old WWII jeep and house plumbing and everything else in between during the day AND still swing a sweet right hook on a Muai Thai guy's jaw in the evening!
