I've had this pack for a little over a year and a half I think. It has seen 2 seasons of ice climbing and hitched from Florida to Maine once. It is in nearly perfect shape. No tears, fraying or holes, I suppose it may have faded a bit. Have done a couple minor mods, which I will detail below. It's set up like an old school ALICE pack but with many improvements like 1000 denier cordura and modern comfort additions. Has full ski/machete slip-thru's and is set up for a hydration bladder/hose. Awesome pack, but I got a lighter weight alpine pack and this no longer fills a big enough niche so I thought I would get it to someone else to enjoy before I did any damage to it.
The mods:
Ice axe loops and there are velcro keepers up on the ALICE rails for the haft of the axe and some shock cord with cordlocks for crampons:
The loops are attached with snaps and are easily removable:
Rope retention strap. To hold climbing ropes or a jacket centered above the load under the top flap of the pack.
