Here's a weapon for those dark nights when the fog rolls in between the tavern and the palace.

12 1/4 inches of Explosion wrapped Turkish twist. The frame handle is carved African Blackwood.

It's a take-down, and the Damascus headed, Blackwood bodied take-down tool holds spare assembly pins.

It's on the way to Paul Long for an exceedingly fancy Damascus studded sheath, fit for a Prince, then it'll be on the table at the Arkansas show.

Here's a couple of Chuck Ward Montages from the Arkansas Knifemakers Show, where this one won the "Best Damascus " Award

That's superb John, a Fiersome blade for sure!

Another beauty, John. Looking forward to a closer look. See you soon.

Thanks for sharing.

The customs forum only allowed bowies last year, I think they might allow other blade forms to compete this year. If so, this lovely dagger will be at the top of my list. Wonderful work, John!

Great looking knife. I am no dagger expert.

I like the length of the blade, and the proportions of the handle. I often feel looking at daggers that the blade length is too short, and the handle too small or thin.

This one looks like it would be comfortable and secure in the hand, and have enough blade to reach, cut and poke. Not that it will ever need to, but it could!

Superb, John! Really an awesome piece. Can't wait to see the final package with that damacus stud attached to some of Paul's work.
