Blackjack All Weather All Conditions. This has been in my safe a long time. I'm not the original owner. But in all the years I've had it, it has never been used or carried. Feels real comfortable in standard grip. Reverse grip, not so much because of finger groove.

I have a bark river Scagel that I like, except the way the handle shape is it "pulls" my hand into the guard, sorta squishing my index finger.

This/your knife doesn't?

No, it doesn't seem to. My fingers gravitate to the raised ridge or subhilt, if you want to call it that.

Is the sheath original or not? I'm not sure I know what they come with, I've seen some leather?

Would this make a good user knife?

I don't believe it's the original sheath. I think they came with a leather sheath. As far as a user goes, you need to decide that. I know people that won't carry anything bigger than a 3 inch blade. Others carry machetes, military knives, swiss army, or whatever. You decide if it meets your needs and skills. But there isn't any reason it won't perform. It's a quality knife that's well made.
