I posted in another thread but thought I would just make my own. Does anyone know how far the tang extends into the Micarta in the saber or non pommel style handle? Any opinions on how this hidden tang design would hold up?
 
I have checked two Bark River made knives in the same size and the tang extended 75-80% into the handle.
I would think it's the same with the BJ's, as they are also made by BR.

I have beaten heavily on my two BR's and no problems with the tang construction.

Ok thanks. I figured as much. Doubt they would use a design if it couldn't handle most things.

Legion, the picture you posted is of the pommel style handle. I'm talking about the Saber grip.
