I thought I would pick out a bunch of oversized blocks of spalted maple and buckeye burl for you guys to pick through. These are all natural, unstabilized wood. Spalted maple and buckeye are soft woods so you will want to stabilize these or use a wood hardener.

Photos show the wood dampened with water so you don't have to guess how they will look finished. There will be some scattered bug holes, voids and bark pockets as seen in the photos. I left the blocks way oversized so you can be the one to decide what you want to trim away or fill. Many of these blocks will yield more than one handle.

Shipping cost in the US is $2.50 each for 1st Class or $5 for Priority mail. Free US shipping on purchases over $50. You may combine these with pieces I have in other threads.

When you see ones that you want, just post "I'll take #...." and I will mark it sold for you and send a PM with payment info.

Buckeye Burl - Oversized Blocks
There are some voids and bark pockets you will need to fill or work around. I left these blocks way oversized so you can use them in the way that gives you the most possible for your knives.

Big enough for at least a couple handles or maybe a matching sheath.

I just added 4 more blocks of really unusual blackline spalted maple burl at the top of this thread. As the batches of blocks sell I will add new batches. I am keeping the prices reasonable so these will sell fast. The weather is getting cold and rainy here so I need to move my work area indoors. By selling these it helps to give me much needed space.

You are welcome to pick ones you want and keep a running tally as new ones are added. I will mark them sold with your name so it will be easier to keep track. Just let me know when you are done and we will figure up your total.

When you pay please list the block numbers that you are paying for. That will help avoid any confusion.

I was wondering if you would notice 1295-1298. I was going to drop you a note about them later. I will mark all these sold for you. I am also in the process of photos to add more spalted stuff.
