I just drove back from the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland's "Blacksmith Days". It was a great weekend. Decker and Nowicki making damascus, knives, and hawks. Jay Hendricks and his son were there.Several of Bill Moran's old friends came, and lots of other makers attended. The weather held out until nearly the end ( I left a little early for the long drive home, and missed getting wet.). Tail-gaiters had tons of nice stuff, including a Peter Wright 223# anvil for $375 ( I resisted buying it). There was a specialty anvil that weighed somewhere around 1000# for sale. It was made to forge anchors and chain, I think. IIRC, it was something around $1500.

BTW, Decker won the best knife in the knife competition.
