I have another one of those infamous little fixed pocket blades out in the shop with the tang split... but I never got any further than that. I thought it would be a neat way to add visual interest and make it feather-light.

Sorry, Nick...I know the feeling. If you dig around, I posted the first one, w/hamon, about a year ago. I'd really enjoy seeing one of your hamons on one. Actually, I was thinking of a combination of this concept and your deep texture thing. Lookin' forward to your next example of this genre.
