Blackwashing titanium handles

Hello knowledgeable knife people!

I am interested in darkening the ti side of a folder and through some quick Google Foo have turned up the oxi clean method.. has anyone used this method? @Mecha you brought it up in a thread I found! Thanks

Any other methods or suggestions?

And how are you going to blacken the one side of the titanium? Maybe with many very hot passes of an open flame?

Interesting, I forgot about heat anodizing to get a darker color. Will heat anodizing cause warping ?

no, there is no deformation problem with the heat.

I have had success with heating the Ti to 1400 F and quenching in equal parts Windex and distilled water.
