My name is Kyle Royer, I am 17 years old. I've been making knives for three years now but mostly after attending the Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing for three weeks last April. I will be go for my Journeyman smith ranking at the 2009 Blade show.
I forged this Bowie out of 5160 carbon steel.
The blade is 10 inches long and the over all length is 14 3/4 inches long.
The handle is made out of African Blackwood.
There is filework on the spine of the blade, guard, three piece Ferrel and three piece pommel.
The Guard, Ferrel, Pommel and Pommel Nut are all made out of German Silver.
I can also make a nice sheath for about $50.00
There is also a Spanish Notch on the blade.
The knife weighs 12 OZ and feels rely good in the hand.
My price for this knife is $700.00
