Blackwood Custom -- Tell me about 'em??

GREAT Pictures for GREAT Knives..
Neil is a really nice guy who makes great knives..

OK Neil you should told me the knife was "made in Taiwan" then I don't have to pay the shipping charge from US to my place. ;)

JT:

No worries for anything from Neil.

That lighter colored wood-handled medium hunter he posted pics of is mine, just got it today. :)

Fabulous work, as are both of my other two Blackwoods'. I have a matching set, medium and small hunter, with white micarta handles, and the same mosaic pins on both. They are gorgeous as well. I would have no problem recommending Neil's blades to anybody, heck I already have 3 myself. :)

Joe,
If I hit the Florida Lotto tomorrow, expect a visitor :) I NEED a vacation!!!
Mr. Steinbrunner,
A wine tasting tour of your part of the world would take the EDGE off nicely too :D

Neil:

Sure thing, come on out. :) In fact, I work at Beaulieu Vineyard, home of Georges de laTour Cabernet Sauvignon. We're usually in the top ten world-wide every year. :)

Or you could come to my part of the world where we have some of the best wine around :D

California my ass. What would they know about drinking :p

My sm. tac/utility has been in use for a year. Fit and finish is still great. Stellite blade is RUSTLESS and only needs a small touch up a very once in a while.

But, none of you mention your Blackwood sheaths...!!!! If he didn't send you one, you are missing 25% of your package!!! Great sheaths: FORM and FUNCTION....

And did I mention that he does great thumb knotches in Stellite????

Here is my latest acquisition. :D

Neck Ninja HD

This knife measures 7 1/2" OAL, with a 3 5/8" blade. The material is 5/32" D2. Features include a hand rubbed finish, tapered/drilled tang, milled thumb serrations, stabilized spalted maple with red spacers, mosaic pins, stainless pins and lanyard hole.

Now if I can talk Neil into making a folder version of this blade style with a framelock!

Dennis,

I'm GLAD you like your Neck Ninja and thanks again for the Email!!

Attila, Michael and Peter
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and the kind words. I've changed my milled thumb serrations a bit since the ones show on Michaels knife. They are more pronounced and larger now, still MILLED prior to heat treat ONE GROOVE at a time :)

Folders?????? I'll post a picture SOON!! I'm not saying that I'll MAKE any more of the darn things though

Neil

Please don't post any pictures of it. If I cant order one I don't think I could stand it. :D

Neil,

AWESOME! I just saw the folder pic. VERY COOL...:D
Hopefully after the holidays I will have the funds to pick up another of your pieces...;)

I own two of Dr. B's knives :) and I dont know if I can put my feeligs to words.. I guess Neil's stuff just appeals to me and not being able to "categorize" it is compliment in itself me thinks :)

oh BTW Wulf, I am very flattered that my name is still mentioned regarding that knife 'idea' (wouldnt call it a design or anything).

Does this mean I have a collectors item or an obsolete design??? Either way, it is still a keeper! The red, white and blue handle Neil did for me was way before anybody was flying American flags on there SUV's....

here's mine :) bfett you have goiod taste.. IMHO white micarta is the awesomest knife handle material out there.. I'm a simple individual :) longing for purity.

Since this thread now appears to be just for sharing pix of Neil's fine knives, I'm moving it to the Gallery.
