I purposely sent my wife Susan over to the display to take a shot of the winners. Why wait for the magazine to report in months.... :)

Thanks a bunch! That is a great way of doing it!

A great list of award recipients-a veritable who's who of knifemaking.

what tactical folder won RJ Martin the award? any pic? was it the havoc, rampage or devastator?

I am REALLY pleased for R.J.. Nope, none of the above.

Doubly so, because he won going 'old school'; carbon scales, a fitted ti bolster, flipper, and a PERFECTO deep semi-polished hollow grind.

I only have photos of Arpad Bojto's, Ken Steigerwalt, and Matt Lerch's knives. Soon...

Coop, finally meeting you and Susan was a highlight of my show.
Hope you are able to come up for air after a very busy few days!

Vince's sword that won the award (as well as his "best of the rest") was amazing.

Geno's award had me dancing in the aisles :D. Well deserved as was R.J.'s.

...but it's an outstanding knife (and a darn good image!)

Matthew Lerch - Best Handle Design.

Thanks for the report, Coop. Glad you had a good show. Eagerly awaiting more pics - the Lerch is stunning.

Thanks Coop!! Congrats to the winners! And a huge WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to RJ Martin!!

Coop: Q-36 Flipper is inbound to you for the full-blown "Coop" treatment! Wanted to get 'er done at the show, but the timing was bad...

Looking forward to seeing this one! I really liked this piece in it's original incarnation.

I have it now. I am still hard at work finishing the Blade images. In the meanwhile, it take it out and flip it for a spell when I need a break. :D GREAT therapy....

Is the Kershaw Tyrade an American made knife, or an import? Since it won knife of the year, shouldn't it also be either the American Made Knife of the Year, or the Imported Knife of the Year?
