It should, but it isn't. This always annoys me about the Blade Overall Knife of the Year. It is always a knife other than the American-made or Imported Knife of the Year. If it's not made in America, or outside of America, where the hell is it made? The winner should have to come from one of these 2 categories. It's like a sports championship being won by a team that didn't qualify to play in the championship game.
 
In theory though, since it won Overall Knife of the Year, doesn't that mean that it is the top knife if you combined the categories?

It is the best knife period, but if it is an American knife, then it should also be the best American made knife. If it is an imported knife, it should be the best imported knife. Either that or the winner of one of those awards should have been the winner of the best overall knife.

Sorry, now I see what you mean. Makes sense, but I guess they just want to have one more award available.
 
The Tyrade is made in our Facility in Tualatin, Oregon. :D

We are lasercutting Ti and Wire EDMing blades as I type.

Im sorry if this is cruel and all, but i didn't see any BM knives on that awards list. hmmmmmm. kinda makes me feel good to see that. anyone know when BM won knife of the year or any of the other awards last? just curious.

what can i say? i like BM knives, but the talk about them drives me nuts.
