Blade 2007 Pics!

I think KAAK was planning ahead... After all, there is a lot of testosterone on this forum. ;)

KAAK: You sound as bad as me and I have two girls. Still babies though. But we hear you big guy. ;)

The guy with the mullet and tight pants in you avatar on the other hand is fair game. :p :D

I have been to Blade SIX straight years and I have never seen anything like this in my life. "FEEDING FRENZY" does not explain what went on. Knives were spaced out 4 times on Friday and Saturday and once on Sunday. There were NO knives left. People were yelling, "I'll Take It!" before Jerry even showed what it was or how much. You really have to witness this carnage to understand. It reminded me of the New York Stock exchange when something all the sudden gets hot!!! I made it front and center only two times out of the eight I was there for. Twice on the outskirts and didn't get anything. Jerry finally starting throwing the numbered cardboard sheaths and whoever caught it, got the knife. I was lucky enough to come away with 4 very nice knives. It was great fun but also very stressful. There were at least 50 or more hogs at every feeding!!! Everyone I talked to at Blade would ask me what is going on at that Busse Booth, "Are they giving knives away"? Here are a couple of the knives that I was able to pick up.

Ronybear,

It was nice meeting you and your son. This off duty was indeed the knife I was asking if you scored. That one knife would have made a worthwhile trip for anyone:thumbup:

Congratulations, Ronybear! :D

Those are both great catches, but I agree with Tony G - That Off Duty would be worth going for all by itself.

Did you score anything, Tony?

Yes I had a very good day!!!

I got:

One SHI 2007 SE
Two custom AD's
One very FAT 2007 SE Game Warden
One LMS 2007 SE
One FBM 2007 SE

Since I was flying in and out of Atlanta the knives are being shipped to me so I can't take photos. But I may have them by late next week. I'll look through Jerry's photo posts and see if I can ID the custome ADs. I really went there to get one knife that would be special to me and that I'd make my life-time user. One of the ADs will be that knife:D

Tony, nice meeting you as well. We had a great time and sounds like you did pretty good on blade scores, too.

Ok I'm sure I got the one outlined in black and then I got one of the two outlined in red but right now I don’t recall which:o :foot: . I do remember that they are pins and not tube fasteners. So unless it isn't in this photo it has to be one of them.

And then I could be all wrong.  I left for blade at 8:30 Friday morning and slept four hours since. And much of the awake hours were spent .... errrrr drinking:thumbup:

Wow! That was a good weekend, Tony!

But, won't all your Wardens be jealous of those two AD's?

Ever since those Wardens found out about Mistresses they don't care much about what I do.:grumpy:

But that is healthy; I wouldn’t want them to grow up not being able to tell the difference between a man’s and a woman’s azz.

When you guys are talking about "offerings" are you referring to limited runs like we see in the ganzaas? Or more to the point, are there regular CG knives at the table that are readily available? Or are all knives this year only available through the "offerings"?

There were no knives for sale except what Jerry was pulling out of the boxes.

Thanks Greg for the pictures, hope you don't mind I borrowed your first shot of the booths for the SY forum:D I think you captured a couple of the JYD's!
thanks again for sharing with us.

Don't mind at all - I should have thought to post them there and at the Swamp as well... :o

I'm starting to feel human again! ;) I don't know what time I hitched a ride from the Waverly but I was feelin' no pain. Life is good and Blade was great! I can't wait to do it again next year!

I partied with old and new friends. I got everything I wanted within my budget, including a smoochie from Mrs G1926! Priceless!! Just like the induction AK that she won at the dinner!

I got the task of doing the greet/signin at the dinner on Saturday. It was fun putting real names with forum names. I wished for my camera to take butt shots of everyone as they entered but unfortunately forgot it and couldn't abandon my station.

The blonde: yep, she is adorable! :) She assumed I was safe SINCE I ONCE HAD RON'S REAR AS MY AVATAR, so she dubbed me her escort/bodyguard when leaving the booth. (Beware any potential stalkers - I'm packing!! ;)) She can remain nameless unless she wants to reveal her name on her own. Anyway, yep she is a doll... And at 38 y.o. I'm old enough to be her Dad. The other reason to use care around her?? She is Amy's padawan - ya gotta know what that means!! ;)

In a blatant attempt to divert attention away from all of this "avatar business, I would now like to remind everyone that Progunner WAS WEARING A TIARA!!!!!!!!

That would have worked if people didn't keep hearing you say how "good he looked" with it on.

PM, you've told us about the yellow-haired beauty, now how about that yellow-handled beauty? :D

Aaaahhh, now the yellow handled beauty I've had my hands all over!! What a hottie! She's a Special Forces Natural Outlaw! Double cut in the original SFNO blade shape with a fat, sculpted grip of g10 in the trademark Busse colors of yellow and black. It feels awesome in your hand!

Jerry - I can't tell ya how much I appreciate this one, Boss!
