Blade 2012 -Here's what stood out for me - how about you?

But my absolute fave was draped over the shoulders (in a killer rig) of Sam’s good friend Frederic – and has been his personal carry piece for some time.

Holy crap!!! Probably one of my favorite knives i've EVER had the pleasure of seeing. I now lust after one of these.

Roger Thanks for the great review I really enjoyed hanging out and chatting This was the most fun blade show I have done.

I usually make a serious effort to see all the new JS test knives to keep and eye out for future prospects. I can't claim to have seen them all, but I was impressed by the very crisp and clean work of Steve Randall, JS and Mike Deibert, JS.[/QUOTE]

Thank you for the nice words and acknowledgements. I had a total blast visiting with everyone!

Norbert was kind enough to send a pic of what I believe is one of your new knives

Finally had a chance to look at some of the posts related to blade. lots of great info Roger. Looking forward to seeing all your knives when i get home in a couple weeks. I would have covered a lot more stuff but was just too tired at times. missed seeing a few folks like David Mirabel even though I walked around many times. Good to see all the great knives others found to add to their collections.

Thanks Norbert and Joe - that will help me get through the wait as the knife and sheath make their way back to me. That one is going to join the working rotation for sure.

Roger

Roger, thanks for the report and the great deal. That really compensated my absence from Blade:thumbup::cool:

Marcel

Insanely awesome knives Roger... thanks for snapping these!

Hi Rob,

Sorry you couldn't make it man. Regrettably, I have little more to add in terms of photos. I'll be eagerly awaiting updates from Murray and well as Coop's usual super-fantastic pictorial display. I am adding in a few more thoughts as time permits to my original post. Check for updates follwowing the sign-off in my first post.

Here's one more pic though. It's so crappy I was reluctant to post it because the knives are sooooo much better than this suggests. But these were the big bad boys from Sam's table:

Roger...can you give me an idea of what those knives above were going for at Blade? The bottom one inparticular. I'm trying to figure out if I can afford one :D

I could direct you to the kidney donation place that I visited. :)

Seriously, they were very solid values, IMO. PM sent.

Hey Roger! These photos might help you with your wait also. This knife looks pretty much like the one you got from Sam and the sheath looks like a right hand draw scout model.;)

Paul

Roger your Hurak Is fantastic

With that Paul Long Scout sheath it is the complete deal

This package really shows what great leather can do for a great knife

Congrats

Thanks for the update, sorry I couldn't make this year but this helps soften the blow..

That is one amazing grab Roger! Congrats

Paul - that is SWEEEET!

Thanks Joe and I couldn't agree more.

Ryan - that little one spoke to me with the greatest clarity.

Roger

Really great looking hunter & sheath Roger . I love my big knife by Sam but reqret I didn't make it to his table sooner so maybe I could have picked up a hunter also . The two together would have made an awesome display I think . Congrats to you -
