I am so very proud of my good friend Mike Quesenberry!!!
He has quickly climbed to a place where he is making, IMHO, some of the best forged knife work available, period.
His work is both technically difficult and VERY VERY VERY WELL DONE!!!!
Standing behind Mike's table this past weekend, I can't count the number of times I broke out my, "This is an integral, Mike forged this knife from one solid billet of steel...." explanation.
MOST of the time, the BR Hughes award is awarded to an applicant for their Quillon dagger... but Mike got the award for his Dog-bone Bowie because it was such a technically difficult piece and his construction/execution is simply amazing. I wanna be like Mike when I grow up.

Another thing that I truly admire about Mike, is that while he is one of the most talented makers in the room (wherever he's at) he only speaks of his work with passion... never arrogance or conceit!!! He is just as good of a person as he is a bladesmith. I'm proud to call him friend.
