Blade 2024 Knife of the Year Awards

"Most Innovative Import Design " (China )

Wow ! So brilliant .

Why didn't somebody ever think to put something like this on knife before . Could have other, more useful, tools on there too !

At least with CRKT QC , you know it will always work !
corkscrew is the one tool I never need. I avoid them on saks as they never get used...but I'm not a having wine picnics type person either though......

that giantmouse is a travesty... spyderco drilling holes through fixed blades for marketing purposes is bad enough, don't make it a trend
Lots of similar cheap "imported" kitchen type knives with a hole in the blade on Amazon......Looks like they "borrowed" that design......

Baffling list, as per usual for Blade Show.

The McNees is a $300 fixed blade with no interesting characteristics.

The PM2 Salt is in no way, shape, or form an innovative knife. I say that as someone who owns one, carries it frequently, and loves it.

Lionsteel doesn't deserve manufacturing quality awards unless your definition of quality only considers handle machining and not blade grinds or heat treatments.

CRKT's wine knife is innovative in that they've managed to charge $135 for a corkscrew tool.

I think some small company named Victorinox has something like this 😂😂

The Blade show awards always have seemed kind of funky to me. It always felt like the people who choose the knives are really out of touch with the knife community. It's been like that for years and years. That said, the Lionsteel button lock and the Spartan look pretty cool.

Agreed. I think the lion steel looks good. I’ve seen some great choices for awards long ago. The PM2 is a great knife but innovative for this year is a bit ridiculous. There was stuff like this at the show in the link below…granted the maker needs to fall within certain guidelines, price, production…ect; it’s still an extreme difference of innovation.

That is the one that interested me. As I like a fancy knife I can take to a party and cut cheese, open bottles that kind of thing.

I assume the divot is some sort of bottle cap lifter.

And there isn't much good choices out there.

Horse to water. If you are bored you're looking at the wrong stuff.
