Blade advice needed...

Get em all:)

Then get rid of what you dont like. Its the only way to know for sure:thumbup:

Chopping is one thing, carry weight is another. I personally find the BWM and the Dogfather at the limits of what I'm willing to carry on long hikes.

I own both and think the BWM is worth the extra money but the Dogfather is a great knife it it's price range also. I have a 2x4 that I did an equal number of chops on and the BWM did noticeably better. I do think the Dogfather might edge it out with a re-profile on the edge and maybe stripping the blade coating since my BWM is stripped.
I don't think you can go wrong on either knife because as I said, they both are a reasonable weight and a lot cheaper than the thicker Busse choppers.

If you think you'll do any lighter brush clearing also, the BWM is the way to go.
Have fun deciding. :D

I'm in the market for a 10"+ busse family knife, but I am having a really hard time deciding. Right now I'm considering the Dogfather and the Bushwacker Mistress. I would prefer INFI, but is the extra cost for the BWM worth it? Does anyone know how the chopping ability compares?

Any other knife I should consider? I can't afford a FBM, NMFBM, etc. unless I sell my NMSFNO, which I would only do if it was truly worth it.

I appreciate any advice I can get.

For outright chopping power, NMFBM is the tops, or the Killa Z.

The FFBM is a chopping beast as well.

For me, I think probably the best all arounder would be the Combat grade. Thinner, lighter, but still a great chopper.

For the money, the absolute best buy would be the Bushwacker. Thinner and light. You will loose some chopping power, but make up for that in portability, and it will work better for thinner brush etc. Still able to batton because the overall length is right.

I have a FBMLE, and still want a NMFBM, and a BWBM, along with about 100 others.

NMSFNO if you are walking, NMFBM if you are driving. If you decide on the NMSFNO then I would strongly recommend the HHFSH.

hell, I don't know how I did that, it was just right there at the top of the feed and I am the only one who posted.....sorry

edit, I commented on the wrong thread....too many windows open. my bad.
