Blade and edc gear check

Are you planning for a war? or Just taking a day trip into Hoodville?

I always carry a gun, have for years. Better safe than sorry.

Very nice setup. I carry my XDM40 on occasion.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of holster is that? Does it accommodate the light as well?

David Brown from Buybrown Holsters on the forum made that for me. It accommodates the light as well and is IWB. It conceals surprisingly for the size of the gun, since one of my other EDCs is a 1911 which is much slimmer.

My "poor mans" edc is very simple yet incredibly consistent.

spyderco tenacious
wallet
keys
hankerchief
phone
harbor freight flashlight (free)
Ideally I'd have a better light and some sort of gun in the mix... but this works for now and I carry it religiously...

 Thats akin to carrying around a cheap gas station knife and saying it works for now,,,,,,,say it aint so :(

Well I don't carry a gun on me everyday just because I carried one on my job for the last 10 yrs and I got so tired of it ( Beretta 92 fs ) I hate the weight. Anyway, I do agree on carrying one but now if I had a Glock 19, I would carry it everyday. I want one so bad, just cant afford it. I guess you can say its my dream pistol. My friends tells me there are better out there now but still I have always wanted one. Maybe one day huh. I do keep a pistol in my vehicles though.

So uhm, do I gotta be the first one to mention the grenade?

Ed, do you just carry that in a back pocket, or does it have a pouch? Or maybe, like on some paracord around your neck.

BTW, I always enjoy seeing your knives. You got a link to a pic somewhere where I can see the blade on that one?

Dam!!! You caught me.
It’s just a paper wait. I found it in a drug dealer’s house. They had to evacuate the apartment complex until the bomb Tec’s figured it was just a paper weight. They gave me the grenade as souvenir; they also gave me a scalding for wasting their time.(better safe than sorry):o They had to drive about 4 hours to the apartment complex and they got a flat tire just getting there. :D

It’s just a paper wait. I do carry smoke grenades from time to time. ;)

Here’s a picture of the blade, it’s from the Plaza Cutlery web site. I bought the knife at their store in Costa Mesa.
That’s not a false edge on the top, it is sharpened. Very lovely dagger.

I am very surprised by how many do not have keyring knives.

Who wants to use a knife with a bunch of keys attached to it? Especially if you carry other items on the keychain such as flashlights, bottle openers, or decorative souvenirs.

I usually only see non-knife people with knives on their keychains, but not always.

Wfochris- Is that a Saddleback Wallet?

Picked it up in Gatlinburg TN; it says "Brumby" - and Made in USA which was the important part at the time. I don't always buy US, but I couldn't bring myself to buy a wallet imported from Pakistan while vacationing in a 'traditional' locale :D
