blade coating

how is it that some makers have this dull looking blade,or coated with some material,any ideas? thanks royboy.oh yea bruce b,since i couldnt come up to visit ya,ya dont respond,what up,hope i didnt adfend you,,, royboy

I dull mine with a sand blaster, this has come up before there is lots in the archives. most use ceramic beads
