Does anybody know how to do-it-yourself coating? What's the best stuff to use and where could I find it?

Brownells gunsmithing supply house http://brownells.com/Product/index.asp has baking lacquers that produce great results and the temperatures are around 300`F so that curing won't affect temper.......Type 'baking' into the product search field and it will bring up many kinds.
