BLADE Cutting Competition

I have looked into the cutting competition and have been thinking of a way to modify my FABM to meet the 15" Max OAL requirement.

As Jerry had mentioned.....a lot of it rely heavily on the skill of the competitor. I think that my thin FBM is competition capable except it is about 3/4" too long. Cobalt's satin 1/300 SHBM is also highly competition capable and may even meet the OAL 15" limit.

Maybe by 2009 I will get good enough to compete with some INFI

We have checked into this and these tests are equally reliant on the skill of the competitor and the performance of the blade being used.

In other words the technique used is just as important as the knife being used.


Those guys practice non stop for these competitions.

seems like Jerry once did make a blade that would qualify for Blade competition. OAL less than 15 inches, front hole for lanyard, ergo handle.

Relax Darkfin, no one is offended. Honest question. But the rules of the official "Cutting Competition" at Blade has certain guidelines that doesn't allow production knives.
