It goes without saying that Spyderco is truly the undisputed king of the serrated blade. The Spyderedge has literally put every other knife company's serration patterns in the back seat for sure. Spyderco really put themselves on the map from it's very inception with their super cutting Spyderedges ( Spyderco's patented serration pattern). Albeit there are some types of knife designs that I feel do better with the Spyderedge than other designs do.
For instance I feel that Spyderco's hawkbill blades do a superb job with the Spyderedge. It also seems like most of the blades with some degree of curve on them really perform better in SE. Also some time back a good friend of mine made the astute observation that full flat grind blades with Spyderedges seem to work much more efficiently than blades with other types of grinds ( hollow grind ect) in SE.
Which blade designs do you all feel that do well with the Spyderedge? Which is your favorite Spyderco model in SE? And which models would you like to see Spyderco offer in SE? I've wanted to see models like the C-111 Captain and the Ulize in SE. I would also like to see the return of the Dodo in SE. What say you all?
