How about we install a seperate forums in the forums where us teens can hang out and talk about knives. I hear a lot of complaining about teenagers from the older forum members. If we wanted to post something of questionable maturity, we could post it where it would be more welcome. Good idea? How about it Mr. T and Sparkles? I nominate myself for moderator.

I'm a few years too old to be a teenager, but I second the motion. I'd probably even stop by, read, and post there occassionally (i.e., of course, if non-teenagers were welcome). The only reservation I have about opening up a forum like that is that BFC doesn't want to be known as the kind of site that is geared towards arming children and/or telling them to carry weapons. As it is, it is set up for professional knife users, owners, collectors, exchange of ideas and information, etc. A teen forum would have a whole different image, maybe not PC enough. Might even breed a lawsuit if some immature forumite butchers someone and says he learned how to do it here. Just some thoughts...

We already have a forum for topics of questionable maturity - Whine and Cheese.

I thought you guys had already taken over Most of the forums

Now ya'll want to put yourselves away in your own dim little room?

I already can't go anywhere anymore without seeing the Flag of Changland (where the official symbol is a cleverly engineered cardboard knife).

And self nomination can cause blindness.

I think it is a good idea. It will give the younger folks a place to hang out and not have to worry about irritating us old farts. It should be password protected like the wine and cheese forum.

Remember, it is better for them to be here on BFC than some other places on the net.

Forget the separate forum. Keep the teens out here with the rest of us. They're fun to watch. Besides, they're so much more serious than most of us old guys.

I'm sorry, I thought the Whine and Cheese Forum WAS the teens discussion forum.

Well, about it being not-PC... we would be discussing responsible usage of knives as tools. And of course adults will be allowed too, especially Tim Herman.

Comrade, your taste in Irony is remarkably developed for someone of only 15. Your welcome to hang out with us old guys. I am 507 years old, and can still learn from and be amused by things babies say.

Paracelsus, hoping that that elixir of Eternal Life stuff I cooked up almost 500 years ago keeps on working. I forgot how to make more.

BTW: the flag is interesting, But hogs bandwidth. Your host server was down yesterday for several hours. Any thread that you had posted in took several minutes to open unless I hit the stop loading button. Please refrain from constant use

What would the world look like if Everyone had their own flag waving over their head all the time?

Sorry but the answer is NO.

The forums are here for everyone to enjoy at any age. However do to recent government regulations we must keep the forums open only to those over 16.

Here is a quote from our member sign up page.
BladeForums.com is geared towards adult level discussions, as such, by registering you affirm that you are over the age of 16 and, if a minor, have full parental consent.

The law is actually geared towards anyone under 13 and is basically set up so that web sites can not gather ANY information on anyone under 13.

By opening up a targeted forum for a younger audience we are simply putting ourselves in a precarious position.

I personally believe that all questions by younger members should be asked in the regular forums so they may learn from us old farts. It also keeps us in a more "family like" close nit community.

So for now the answer is no.

Good gracious! Mike actually makes sense. Now if he could only figure out a way to make a few cents......

Mike, I'm 15. I signed up long ago and I didn't think there was a 16 year old to register thing. Should I refrain from posting here until my birthday, September 11, so I don't get you in trouble?

BTW, Paracelsus, I'm moving my flag to a more stable host server and I will shrink it slightly to lower bandwith hoggin'.

The 16 old limit is more a deterant than a rigid rule we use. Mainly we don't want to turn this into a United Cutlery playground for fantasy knife nerds, I mean nuts

Is that why Herman made his own forum?

Ya know... oh, I forgot my greeting...
Good Evening.
It is me,
Vampire Gerbil
(Whew!)

I was about to say that Chang's been working his Janitorial fingers to the bone making his Changblades, that he just might be in line for a CHANG Forum. We'll just forget about the 15 year old status of his yearialness.
(Moderators: Search all posts and delete any reference to Chang's age... oh wait! I'M A moderator... that'd mean that I'D have to work!
CHANG: Search all posts and delete any reference, etc!!!)

Still visably shaken from almost causing myself work,
I remain,
VG

Odd Pictures at Photopoint
An assortment of pictures I decided to share with anyone that was so bored they wanted to check out my antics. I did this to prove that I am indeed sane. Be advised that there's hardly any nudity. Feel free to sign the Guestbook!!
Manifesto of Madness
I wrote most of that at work after drinking massive amounts of coffee. I needed to look busy and that dribbled out of my head. There's also a whole bunch of Optical Illusions.
