Blade Discussion For Teens?

Chang, my man, out time has come. I signed on at the age of 17, and felt dwarfed by the grizzled old farts. You are really quite intellignet and creative for a young'n like me. Maybe I can come visit you (my great aunt anf uncle live in Champaign/Urbana!!! You guys have a great surplus store there, too.

I think the idea for a youth forum is quite good, as most non-PC ideas are.

Maybe you guys should atart a forum where they give away Sifus, Sebenzas and ATAKs to people under 21. Just a thought.

And I think we should all keep Paracelsus in our prayers, as he has reached the ripe old age of... 507???

 
David2584, I skipped 7th grade and I started kindergarten pretty early. And the surplus store is nice, but they won't sell knives to me until I'm 18. Most of the time they don't ask, but when they do ask for ID, I can't buy.

David2584: I don't get picked on because of my age. I'm fairly large for my age, not like extremely big or nothing, but 6' (and Asian!). Why would they pick on me? I don't act too much different from the 16/17 year olds.

Tennessee: What gripes do you have about the flag of Changland? If you want me to remove the flag, I will, but I just want to know why.

Seriosuly, though, it's good to see healthy (not 'hey, what knife should I use to kill those who make fun of me') interest in knives in our young people. Wow, that just made me feel old! Para, how do you handle being 507? Being almost 150 is taxing enough on me

Seriously, I have 2 preteen boys and I know they need to blow off steam at times and though Chang's idea was sound but I understand what Mike is saying.

Well... lets take a vote. I'll count the first few votes and make my decision based on that. I've shrunk it to be about 8KB, so it is pretty small already. And the server is very stable, and no I am not stealing bandwith from them, they are fast and they don't care.

You're so right! I can't be caught taking orders from a Scotsman. Mr. Tennessee will have to give me a good reason to take it down.

I vote NO FLAG!

I think its OK to use ONCE IN A WHILE. But constant use is very tedious. Big, noticable signature tags have been a source of serious contention here at Bladeforums.

Think a little. Would you enjoy reading the forums if EVERYONE was to use their own flag or picture or other image? I want to read text, not be visually distracted. There was a forumite who used every smiley he could find in his signature line. Although he was not nearly as entertaining as you Chang, such practices are similar to graffiti. It's OK once in a while. But if you have to look at it all the time, it's an eyesore.

Just my opinion, but if you email Spark he will tell you something similar. Also, any code that references another web site bogs down THIS site. That is why the use of Links to pics rather than code is encouraged.

Paracelsus, trying to be nice (really)
 
Chang: Paracelsus said the right thing, once in a while is ok but not in every posting. I love the Cross of St. Andrew (Scotland National Flag), I love my clan's crest and the Gaelic motto on it, but I won't put it in, not because I'm not proud of it but because it is not necessary. The forum is for us to say what we want to say, not to tell the whole world who we are, get that right. Also, spare a thought for those people with slower modem speed and narrower bandwidhth, it is really fustrating to wait for the page to load. If you really need to make a statement, do it needly at the bottom of your forum, kinda like a sign-off, if it is appealing, people will take note, not that flag.
That's all I need to say and you can carry on with your whatever revolution in the Far East.

"Tennessee" is named after USS Tennessee, SLBM Submarine. I got a glimpse of it somewhere I can't tell you (security reasons). Wonderful piece of metal, you just got to love it.
Talk about BraveHeart, the place here they filmed the show was at Stirling Bridge, 2 miles from where I used to live. nice place.
