FB is also had the most scams. People are constantly making new/fake accounts and getting people to pay with unprotected methods. You'll even get series of them giving each other "vouches" to look legit. There is no protection there.

BF has more rules/requirements so is harder to get scammed. It is easier than reddit, but reddit also has better protection. If you think BF is hard, lolol never try knife swap on Reddit.

Ultimately it's a series of decisions on tradeoffs between protection and ease. Protection adds burden.

If we're giving opinions I'd say BF still leans too far towards ease. (Easy for me to say not being the owner or a mod.)
Yeah, I would never buy from anyone on Facebook excepting a couple of small groups where I've gotten to know guys over years. But I'd never buy in any of the general B/S/T groups.

Facebook has the most trash people. I will happily sell to trash people, but I never buy from them lol.

I'm sorry, did you actually just state "Writing a small note for my listing photos places a significant burden on all sellers", and mean it unironically? Just looking for clarification, thanks!
it was listed as a requirement along with photo's being time stamped wasn't trying to open a can banter was only wondering for instance, someone such as yourself, would need to do this in order to sell in any other sales forums, other than a knifemaker when everyone already knows your name, who you are, and your feedback score etc. it's obvious it doesn't take much to write a note but that wasn't the main point as much as it was that the photos and sales thread couldn't be removed once the sell occurred ~ or worse, were it to not sale, going weeks on end, when it could simply be removed at the members leisure ~ thought this was a good feature ~ people on eBay have the option to create a sells thread and make it private for the sake of the bidders and they are actually no longer available to view as well after a certain amount of days ~ to respectfully respond to your question, appearing to be a sincere one ~ this isn't my site and I am aware I can post if I so choose or not - completely up to me ~ probably wouldn't be such a bad idea, when questions such as these, to tech and support, making it something that only people such as Tech support responds too, that way it gets addressed accordingly without the mob mentality kicking in and made out to be some kind of a joke or a patsy ~ it conditions people to remain silent or not even raise a concern or even possibly a good idea ~ it's just unconstructive ~ know this isn't eBay so nobody needs to chime in and say well go sell on eBay then ~ this is the kind a responses that do no good ~ kind regards ~ I've got my answers, and this thread, were the Moderator wanting too, can delete it, were they wanting too ~ it was obviously a stupid question ~
