So, it is no longer Blade Forums according to the new name at the top of the page. Will the membership levels change? New moderators? More ads gonna start popping up? Address change to knife.google.com? Anyone know yet? Or, is it just April 1?

When the new rules limit us to discussing edge-less, pointless, butter knives made from non-exotic materials, then we will know for sure.

BTW, what is your favorite tactical butter knife?

A yellow handled tactical butter knife with saw teeth for those tough pieces of toast.

That would probably be great for sawing through frozen butter, but the serration would shred the bread. You'd probably be better off with a battery powered self heating butter knife to melt its way through the frozen butter. That way you could avoid making any unnecessary sharp edges. The butter will never know what hit it.

Would you prefer titanium or coated surgical steel? I am kind of partial to camouflage. The butter would never know what hit it.

It should have a light on it too for those early starts in the day when its still dark, using lithium rechargeable battery packs.

Its clear that nobody tried the Bing challenge because if they did the new name would have been Bingblades

Per the moderators, "assault knives" (Any locking folder or knife with a point and a blade length over 2.25")are now banned.

So I guess this is the end. I am really disappointed , From what I have read shop talk is gone. See you guys

Are there some new rules or guidelines somewhere?
...or is this more April fool stuff?

Guys, it's April 1st.

Besides, why would Google ever be interested in buying BF?

Why would someone go through all this BS . For a April Fools prank ? Seriously ?

Consider yourself lucky to have missed the great April Fools gag that Ed Fowler's pulled when this site was younger. IIRC it had something to do with the alledged distructive testing of an original Lewis and Clark expedition knife. There were only about 1,000 of us back then and the discussion got so heated that we had virtual riot over the internet.

edited to add: see Blade Magazine, April 2000 for Mr. Fowler's original article.

I'm with Marko3. I have a very limited sense of humor, and I never did understand why people though April Fool's pranks were funny. So when I see that sort of thing going on, I just ignore it. Otherwise I get labeled as a cranky old fart... which, though true, isn't very flattering.
