You guys know the rules. You are not allowed to complain about forum policy. I am banning all of you for discussing this. Greg, I am banning you twice....once for discussion forum policy, and once for grumpiness.

I tell ya .. I went to bed pissed. I know it was April fools but the GoogleKnife moderator told me I was out of luck regarding my knifemaker membership . So I was thinking geez... What the heck. Then on to my next favorite thing . Auto's will be banned from the site. So I not able to buy any auto's . Well I said at least I can go to the traditional knives sub forum which is starting to become a favorite pastime after a long day. I am just a fat sucker ! But I am glad it was a joke.. but man I was fooled.
 
I put up a thread many years back where I apologized to everyone in Shop Talk for being a fraud who had never made a knife. I said I was a 14 year old home-schooled boy living in Japan with my father, who taught at the university in Tokyo......and make up all my posts and photoshopped all the pictures. It caught quite a few folks before someone considered the date.
 
I remember that one Stacy. I'm not real big on April Fools pranks in general, but that was a good'un.

Yea, I was wondering the exact same thing Mark. When I first saw it, the date crossed my mind, but then when I saw how "google" was actually splashed around everywhere... it seemed like that was going way out for a joke (and possible backlash from google?).

But they showed on the news the other day, how quite a few BIG NAME companies actually made commercials for April 1... Like Honda putting out a "DIY car" commercial!!! :eek: :rolleyes:

As someone who has never been into the April fool's thing, it blows me away that so much time/money would be spent on it. I 'spose a lot of folks would say the same thing about a custom knife though... ;) LOL
 
The bad part was with other forums being sold I actually believed it.

.......and with Stacy going ban happy, I think someone should release a bunch of fleas in his kilt.
Now that would be funny!
