Ok - here's my convoluted way of thinking...

To me, the hollow ground is more or less what I consider the - standard grind.
Just the same way, the .38special was the - standard US civilian caliber.

We all know that isn't always the case - for either - but, a drop point with a hollow grind is what I think about as far as a using knife is concerned.

Cool poll, Gary!
For folders:
If the blade stock is thin (0.10” or less) I like full flat.

Over 0.11”, I like a hollow grind, so I voted accordingly.

If the blade stock is more than 0.15”, it’s not a knife, it’s a door stop!

For fixed blade, I think the grind is dictated by the role the knife plays and not a personal preference.

True enough
Figured flat or hollow can each have the edge finished with a convex edge
Example
Bark River are flat and blended down to a convex edge
Chris Reeve folders for the majority are hollow ground and also end with a convex edge

I always used to prefer a decently thin full flat grind over everything, but I have seen the light and realized that a hollow grind done in a way I like is by far the best overall grind for me. Still love flats, but my standards for them are higher now and it's more rare to be thrilled with them than hollows, where one of the main disappointments is a little short grind with a broad swathe of flat between it and the spine. I can see that before buying it, unlike the actual BTE thickness.

I think that’s because you are able to select more than one choice

Almost all of my EDC knives are Spyderco so I voted full flat grind. I've owned some hollow ground blades in the past and I don't mind those either, and I like the looks of a nice polished hollow grind for a custom hunting knife. Then after I voted I see that those 2 are the most popular choices.

Saber grind is visually pleasing as is the hollow grind. Lots of light moving across the blade's angles etc. But the flat grind makes a better slicer and chopper. A flat grind with a spine or fuller can be interesting and still slice well.

For fixed blade, I think the grind is dictated by the role the knife plays and not a personal preference.
I agree, and I'd extend that logic to folders, providing that everyone's gonna have one or two all-purpose knives.
There was no scandi grind option in the poll, sadness.

I think a saber is a good all-around workhorse EDC grind. Slight hollow for hunting or chopping, full flat for picnics (or convex for your Opinels). A full flat kitchen knife will have food stick to it annoyingly often, not throw off slices like a hollow grind.
