Blade guard ???

Have a question on pinning a blade guard on my knife , I dont have the equipment for brazing at this point. I will be pinning a brass guard with mosaic pins and was wondering if J. B. weld would work to prevent oxidation between blade and guard. Thanx 4 any help

JB weld should work. It will leave a gray line. Stay-brite silver solder and tinners flux will work at @ 400 F. A lot lower temperature than brazing.

Mosaic pins are a very bad choice for pinning a guard, bolster, or butt cap on. Use solid rivets that are the same material as the guard.
