Blade height/thickness suggestion for stock removal method

The north coast is closer to what knifemakers typically use in grinding a blade, but is more expensive. A couple of questions I would have about the sears, can the belt be adjusted to the edge of the platten on each side you can do a full grind, if not your grind will be limited to the thickness of the belt, is there enough room ( or can the platten be removed ) so the you can grind the curved tip of the knife. When you get to the tip the handle is rotated downward.

If you can check these things it may work, however, the grizzly is better overall.
