Whats your favorite blade in your edc folder or folders?

I like mine in the 3 1/2 to 3 3/4.

But no more than that. I get the crazy looks with my zt0200 but I am able to laugh it off. No less than 3 inch for me for a folder or fixed.

I like my knife to have a blade between 3 and 4 1/2 inches. I know you dont need over an inch for most cutting tasks but around 3 1/2 inches +/- just looks right to me. The bigger folders are just to scary to the general public to be edc.

Yeah: 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches

I generally prefer 3" blades.

That being said, IMO its not so much the size of the blade, but the size of the handle and the blade:handle ratio. I like my folders around 4" closed, with as much blade as can be packed in the handle.

My preferred range is the two and half to three and a half inch range, but I'll carry bigger or smaller depending on the knife.

But there are limits. I don't want to carry over four inches just because it's way too much knife, and I don't like less than a two inch main blade for a primary carry knife.

I carried a Benchmade 710 every day for over three and a half years, and it's close to four inches, but it carried like a much smaller knife. And I will on occasion carry a Buck 110 and it's a large knife. On the reverse of that, I really love the Spyderco Cricket.

Ok seriously, I prefer a blade between 3.5" and 4" for EDC. But I have carried anywhere from 3" up to a 6" blade in a folder.

I usually carry two folders, I want at least one big (4''+) with me.

I suppose a 3'' blade will do about the same amount of damage as a 4'', but I like my main defense knife to be as big as possible without being illegal.

Three inches is perfect for every day carry. Good size for most of the tasks I use it for.
