Blade Length In A Folder...........

I used to prefer right around 3", but lately I've been doing some food prep on the go. And find that 3.5-4" is infinitely better for food work.

My main carry knife that gets used for food is the Tenacious, because it's my work knife. It's just under 3.5. It gets the job done, but I need something a bit longer. Hopefully my ti/m4 military gets here quickly :D

2-3 inch blades for me; knives just ride easier in my pocket and rarely do I need anything larger.

I do carry two or more knives. I want my dedicated SD knife to be at least 3.75 inches. My utility can be anything from 2.75"(persistence) to 3.75"(Endura). I find 2.75 inches the minimum length that's useful all around.

For me, I have no set size limits for EDC knives. I just pic one on a whim and carry whatever the result is. Blade size can range from around 1.5" to 4.25" -and that does not even count MTs and SAKs:D.

On average, I'll probably have at least one blade in the 3-4 inch range most frequently, and that is about as set as my "preferences" get.

3.5 to 4 unless its a black tie event then I might go a bit smaller my smallest that I regular carry is a burger exk1 and or a small sebenza.

Anywhere around 3" give or take .25"

Large enough to be useful in most situations, small enough that you don't send people running for the hills when you open it.

I also prefer them around the 3" mark for a dedicated knife. I carry a SAK Soldier most of the time though these days.

i want manufacturers to make bigger folders like coldsteels espada line but a more value orientated design sumthing in a $50-$70 range so as far as blade length um id like to see 6-8 inch folders

I usually stick to the 3"-3 1/2" range, but don't mind going anywhere from 2"-4". If I'm in a situation where I'd need anything bigger, I probably have something else with me that'll do the job better, be it a fixed blade knife, hatchet, or saw.

3.5" is the legal limit here, so that's what I carry. Curiously, I've got a CCW permit, so guns are no problem if a self-defense situation should arise, so I don't worry about it too much.
