I just got a new Centofante 4 and have a small question on something that may or may not be an issue. When the knife is closed the blade is very loose in the handle. The blade can very easily moved from side to side and moves enough that it hits each side of the handle. When it is open it is solid with no blade play, so it is only when it is closed. My other FRN Spydies, Caly Jr and Native, do not have much if any movement when closed. I didn't know if this was normal or something that I should send into Spyderco to be taken care of. Thanks for the input.

**Sending it into Spyderco who I am 100% sure will make it right. Thank you to everyone for the input.**

Does the blade move by itself when closed (by just tilting the knife from side to side) or do you have to push it? If the former, it probably should be sent back for evaluation, if the later it's a non-issue.

The blade moves by itself when tilted from side to side till it hits the other side of the handle.

That would be a send back. They'll fix you up right.

However, I'm curious to know how it could do that. If it's solid when open, it should be solid shut. Maybe something between the tang and lockbar in the closed position?

I'd send it in, that's way to sloppy for a good knife.

It's probably the lock keeping it snug while open, at least you know that part is working properly.
