I ordered blade magazine for the giggles in the first day of last month and it has been month and a half now, and I am yet to hear anything from them.
I understand that something as magazine might take a while to arrive but I am getting sorta suspicious. Their website is sure clumsy about sending feedback..

So it's a long shot, but maybe anyone could have any insight to this or not?

edit: All right, maybe just useless thread made on frustration. I think they got some kind of mess up there and they are solving it.

Blade sux. If you have a subscription, they try to trick you into signing up early, mulitple times.

The bill they sent me in the mail was more than what they offer a subscription for through the magazine. About 3 months after my subscription died, they gave me the low price of $20. They tell you in the fine print that if they don't want to give you 12 issues they may "combine" two issues (i.e. less magazine for the money at their discretion.)

I was going to sign up at the $20 until I looked at the current issue of the rag at Barnes and Noble. This reminded me of why I quit, bs articles, commercials disguised as journalism, and constant ads for their internet stuff. They did a serrated sharpening article and did not mention Spyderco's sharpmaker. Plus, they retread the same topics and "controversies" over and over and over.

I like KnifeWorld now known as Knife Magazine. One price no matter how you order. Great phone service if your magazine doesn't come. Articles written by people with integrity. Now in color and better production quality than Blade.

Why would you need a knife magazine when you can get much better information on the forums, including reviews, pictures, experience, videos, and other stuff? I never understood that.

I don't need knife magazine, I just thought that I'd try "for the sh**s and giggles" like I said.. something to browse when sitting on the crapper.

"Never understood" the reasons why magazines exist??? There is no e-zine equal to Knife World.

Try reading a paper document that has been vetted for truth and contains numerous first person interviews and multiple information sources. You may like it.

If you surf the net, you see what you are interested in. If you read a magazine, you see what others are interested in that you didn't even know was interesting.

If nothing else, Knife World had the best list of Knife shows in the USA.

Try as I have, I've never found a knife related magazine in any book store. THe only exception was Knives Illustrated, it didn't seem to much more than advertising and pictures.

Are you under the impression that I have not read vetted papers, documents and articles of any kind? I read quite a lot Mr Shoe, and have for a long time. Magazines vetted for truth? Hmm, we must not be reading the same things. I've seen a lot of magazines with promotional spin being quoted as truth, not exactly what I would call honest stories. Next thing you know someone is going to tell me the UK Daily Mail and the National Enquirer are Pulitzer worthy empirically based.

I think you are confused. Truth vetting is not what happens in magazines. Now, if you are trying to talk about Peer reviewed scientific journals I would agree. Unfortunately Knife World is not such a journal. It is basically a walking advertisement, like most magazines.

I feel sorry for you if this is how you experience the internet. Fortunately the rest of us are not held back by the restraints you have placed upon yourself.

A list that is available all over the internet, that is if you look for it:thumbup:

Well hey I am not the only one who likes Knife World and find things in it that are not on the Internet. Unlike other magazines of lesser quality, Tctical Knives, Knives Ill. Knife World survives and grows. It is now larger and in full color and is called Knife Magazine.

Try it, you may like it :) I believe they will send you a back issue for free.

They had my issue solved and send big bunch of extra copies. I'm closing this thread from further argument. Thanks
