Blade Marking Makers Mark Simple Question

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've been making knives for a little over a year and have made about 30 so far. All primarily focused on hunting/fishing styles with 4" average blade length, 8-9" overall.

I've etched my logo into blades with good results using a salt water solution and stencils from Ernie.

I've seen some knives that look like they have a printed logo or makers mark on them and would like to know more about this process. Is this a stamp or some form of printing vs etching? Appears to be only on the surface but I would be concerned if it was durable over knife usage and time.

Any input to point me into the process or how people are doing this is appreciated. Again I have the electro etching process down so far so just like the looks of the other marking method but don't know what it is.

Thanks
Tom

May just be they are using the "mark" setting only (or mostly) on the etching machine. "etch" setting is DC, "Mark" setting is AC and makes the mark black. It holds up pretty well, unless the user uses something abrasive to clean it with (like steel wool, 3m Pad, etc.). I etch and mark mine.

Many factory blades are marked with

They are very expensive $5-30,000
