:) I have a old Remington Bullet Trapper #1123 (circa 1925) that needs a clip (muskrat) blade. I would like to give new life to this great old classic. Does anyone have a blade or know where I can get one? I would greatly appreciate any help.

Camillus who makes the modern remington bullet knives, makes two different models of the old muskrats, one the small 4 1/8" model. The other the jumbo 2005 remington "maverick" (muskrat) bullet knife 4 1/4" model (currently). I would contact them if I were you. It may be possible for them to fit whichever blade fits best for your model. the modern muskrats they are making for remington are pretty true (close?) to the originals. They may actually be able to help you, but it may cost you also.

Have you considered retiring this one and keeping it, and buying a new one?

:( I don't want to modernize this great old classic. Thanks anyway.

Larry,
Im afraid that finding an original replacement blade for your knife is near to impossible. you have to consider that they did not make them that long. Aside fromt hat one in mint shape goes for over a 1,000. If you were even to find a used one, in somewhat decent shape, it still would be at least 400.00, or more.

I did not realize yours is the R1123, trapper. However its still going to hard to find an original balde, if not impossible. Camillus still makes all remingtons modern reproductions, so you still can probably get a blade, but I certainly understand why you would not want to.
