Hey guys. No idea so I'm asking what to use to lube a pivot on a folder. Dry lube comes to mind as wd or other would attract dirt and dust. Anyway thanks for the replies in advance.

Pretty much whatever will do, tbh. Just keep it minimal to avoid the dirt/debris issue you mentioned.

You’ll find people here who swear by mineral oil, nano-oil, WD-40, tuf-glide, etc etc etc.

They all work. I use nano-oil, but I’d put money down that I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between that and almost anything else in practice.

Ive tried about 10 different ones. Find one you like and use it sparingly. Some can gum up on pb washers. Others hold in more lint or dirt. Hell i can spit in a pivot and think it just got lubed.

I like BM blue lube and also nano oil. I’ve used tuf-glide and it didn’t seem as smooth as the others

Why do you think BM blue is the best?
I've used probably 10 or more different oils including, Break Free, Rem oil, 3 in 1 oil, Nano lube, syn motor oils, Tuf-Glide, Hoppe's no 9, Lucas syn gun oil, and silicon spray oil to name a few. Blue Lube has vastly improved the action of any knife pivot that I've used it on, much more so than any of the other oils. The improvement in smoothness is very noticeable.

Vwb563 does have a point. The silcone sprays dry and just dont do to well. Most others are thicker and gum up. Some are multi purpose cleaning and lubing, which isnt great in one area. I will say i use white lithium grease in bearing pivots.
