Blade point and handle of ENDURA 4

Well, I reside in China, to say on "Planet Earth" is a joke, with no malevolence.

Because of the law, market rule, exchage rate and so on, all these knives discussed here are very very expensive to us. For example, the money one man payed on fruit knives, table knives, kitchen knives, shavers, scissors... all his life, maybe can not buy an ENDURA!

But we Chinese fans have the same enthusiasm like you American fans, or some other country's fans. Most of (maybe all of) Chinese fans usually can not get what he really want or like, it depends on price and luck. So we cherish our knives, and sometimes will do require much more about them. They are really too expensive!

I haven't study English hard in school, now usually edit posts with a dictionary. Sometimes I can't figure out the exact meaning of the words. According to the dictionary, "flaw" is what we called “瑕疵”, it's a gentle word to express something not so perfect on a whole excellent thing, it's absolutely not a bitter criticism. I said the same thing to my Chinese friends (of course in Chinese words), someone agreed with me, someone opposed my opinion, but no one was angry.

This^ reminds me that cultural differences are always something to take into account with conversing on-line with others you do not know. I apologize for not being a bit more mature with my initial comment.

Your English is very good, sharpen it, certainly much better than my Chinese. Enjoy the forums!

unless you are sharpening that knife with a file, it will take many many many years to remove so much steel from the blade that the point will be exposed. If you plan on sharpening your knife with something like a file and are worried that the tip of the blade will become exposed in the near future, perhaps it is not a design flaw of the knife but of the user? A sheepsfoot might be a more suitable blade shape for you.

+1, I doubt you will be exposing that blade any time soon unless you really hack at it!

Sharpen it, no hard feelings here. I am glad to know more about you. Cultural and speech differences can be interesting...and problematic. I now have much better understanding of you perspective (which is quite different from mine).

How many meals could your Endura buy? How many would it take to buy the Sebenza?

How many meals, it's hard to say, as you know, Chinese food has very different price. I reside in university, food is cheaper than outside, an ENDURA can buy me one month's meals, likely have some remaining balance.

The price of Sebenza 21 - Large is amount to more than 6, approximately 7 ENDURAs. I can say that, in China, if a student leave university, finds his/her first job, and the salary of a month can afford a Sebenza, people will agree he/she have a good job!
