Mr OCD here. Is there a safe way to polish light scratches off a collectible without damaging the laser etching? My son gave me a 930 BM limited he had and I would like to restore the finish. Just getting started with knife collecting/sharpening, having just ordered a KME diamond stone kit so I know nothing at this point.

Check out this video by CutleryLover, it's regarding Flitz Metal Polish. It's an older video but the info still applies, disregard what he says about it being poisonous, Flitz Metal Polish is non-toxic.

Thank you. I have some Flitz I use to polish handgun internals. Just getting into knife collecting and last thing I wanted was to screw up.
