Exactly the reason why I love the Deep Belly Bowie. Need that belly for a real nice cut. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's why BM makes 4 different versions now, and once offered 26 different styles in their Custom line.
 
...my favourite profile is also bowie, i think. i'm not that into blade shapes to know the difference in deep belly bowie and stuff, but i know that i like bowie. if i ever get my very own costum, it will be a bowie. :)
further on, i kinda like the tanto a bit too. but not weehawk tanto, though... but the 47 looks nice.

does anyone have a picture of a scimitar bali? i'd sure like to see that.

what about your most unliked blade profile? what's the ugliest profile you know?

and the scimtar doesn't look that different from the bowie, but you know, i kinda like both. :D

That was before he edited it and fixed it (see notation on bottom of post). Either way, the scimitar has been referred to as the turkish bowie, so in that sense, you are correct.

No, you should not leave. But your posts should contribute to the overall distribution of balisong knowledge. Asking questions is always a good thing. However, making too many off topic and non-essential postings can be a little annoying. Remember, there are hundreds of people here on the forum, so everytime you post something, you should consider them as well. There is a difference in conduct between a "Chat room" and a forum. That's all.

BTW, I originally put the ";)" in for sarcasm.

sorry i don't know very much about balisong and have to ask so many questions. that's just the way i'm born - dumb.
 
My personal favorite would have to be a spanish clip like they have on some of the navajas I've seen. The belly is nice and deep and incredible for slashing. The tip is still just as serviceable as a drop point. I'llsee if I can dig up a picture.

oh my god, dawkind! that's some nice blade profiles.
those blades look very thick, and with deep sharpening (or what ever it's called, you know, where the edge is and stuff). i really really like that. is it called anything special, btw?
