Blade Roll Call anyone?

I'm in. No show & tell knves this year other than an AD, something for Fogo's, and 1 or 2 more of the small variety that will be packed into my checked luggage. I'm flying in & out and it costs way too much to ship 'em. USPS down ain't bad, but UPS back home killed me last year.

FOR THOSE GOING... FYI, The hotel/convention center DOES have shipping services, but it's mainly UPS, FedEx, & DHL (I think)... So unless you bring USPS supplies or go to a local PO in ATL for shipping your scores/ brought blades back home, this won't be an option for shipping knives home. Also, over a certian requested insurance amount (I forget how much), these other carriers make you overnight the package... Pricey!

Just a SNAFU I learned from last year to avoid this year!

I'm coming, but can only make it for Friday :grumpy: I have a binding obligation on saturday... I'm not sure why the rest of population can't plan their lives around Blade???

But, it's not that problematic since I've been out of money by Friday night every other trip...

I can possibly help you out on the money tip... DC User MoFo??? :p

WHOOOO-HOOOO!!! I'm gonna be there!! :D My first BLADE show and a chance to meet all ya great HOGS at last!! Gonna be at the airport on the early AM flight outta Phoenix, arrive about 1:30PM Thursday. Is it too soon to pack???

BTW--I'm not at all excited about this. ;)

Some have Busse Combat name tags, others usually write their forum names on their VIP pass.

And ... well ... some of us kind of look like Hogs/Piglets.

Just sayin'. :p

I'll be driving, in case anyone in the general vicinity of NoVa needs their knives sent out real cheap (i.e., free).

Buy Bacon will be there.

As will Mrs. Brown she owns only one Busse but it is a very special 1 of a kind Busse, story later.;)

I'll be there, most likely getting squashed at the Busse Booth trying to buy the INFI...

I'll be riding my hog up from Savannah thursday morning, staying thru Sunday morning.

... Oh sure, hook her on Busse's!!!

Bad news: She will drain your pockets as her newly found addiction grows...
GOOD NEWS!!:: Your combined collection of INFI will be outstanding!!! :D:D

BTW, Congratulations to you both!!! Lookin' forward to seeing you & Mrs. Brown at BLADE!! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Should be there Friday around noon. Staying until Sunday, but bugging out early Sunday morning.

I have a lot of family in the Atlanta area and they're renting a pavilion up on Lake Allatoona on Sunday. I should have just enough time to recover from my Saturday night hangover so that I can start drinking at noon on Sunday.

Good plan!!

I gotta hit the road Sunday around noon for a fun drive to Orlando... Atlanta to Orlando is one BORING stretch of highway. Maybe I'll have a new piece of INFI or two to fondle while the miles wizz by... :p

BTW, what are the knife carry rules that apply to Blade? Sheathed? In a back pack? I saw some nice set ups worn by attendees last year. Plus DB had a couple of INFI swords packed to his suitcase!

Just wondering what we allowed to walk around with or in a pack!

Altanta is not my expertise in the knife law department, but I believe that they may have something like a 2 inch size limit... but that's kinda hard to control at a huge knife convention! Check the knife laws forum, there may be a better answer in there. :)

I had everything in a backpack until I bought a bad warden and a Buy Brown neck sheath.

I didn't have any problems.

Didn't appear to be any rules about knives or swords while you were at BLADE. Sure there would be some in the City though.

I will be attending again for my second year and I can't wait!! Oh yeah THE Camo Man (otherwise known as the face of Busse) is coming too......he said something about hitching a ride on a chopper and rappelling in but the INFI he was bringing made him weigh too much for the rope or something so we're driving instead:)

Yeah, I have no plans on walking around Atlanta with an INFI Kilt or anything, just thinking about the Blade show itself...
