blade shape and grinds

What I like : sabre grind clip point badass 10-12" bowie. 2nd kind of cool.

What I really need day to day: SAK and FFG spyderco PM2/delica or RAT 1/2.

from your experiences, what is the best blade shape and grinds?

Oh that's easy.
This blade shape. And as thin as you can get it / grind it. If if breaks well . . . you know that is just a little too thin . . . I have yet to have that ever happen and that older paring knife I EDCed for a decade or more EVERY day in a sheath kept in my back pack / luggage and got beat around plenty. Granted I wasn't fighting Orks or cutting up cinder blocks with it. And it is . . . ? . . . hmmm let me go measure it . . .

. . . it is 1.4mm (well under 1/16 inch ) at the spine and 0.24mm (0.009 inch ) behind the edge. Still gets used every single day in the kitchen. The Cold Steel Ti Lite is a tad thicker but I ground the piss out of it down to similar specs.

or this
Super thin similar shape not as good of steel . . . gets the job done.

or this
narrower yet (effectively pointier)
hollow ground
super performer
just Case SS but they seem to have given the Stag Trappers a little extra Oomph in the heat treat.

out performs the Urban Trapper blade shape below it though the Urban's steel is still better yet and I DO like the Urban Trapper quite a lot.

For EDC, I find the shape and grind of a large sodbuster to be perfect.

I HAVE GOT TO try one of those.
I have several in my "cart" just have not pulled the trigger yet. I was thinking I would get a natural, undyed, bone but then they were no longer available. I prefer the CV (carbon steel ) over the SS I think for that knife.

What is your favorite handle color(s) ?
