Blade Show 2011 is just six weeks away. Some are already completing knives so I guess it’s time to post the thread.

We would sure appreciate pre-views of any BLADE bound knives makers care to share. Even if you post photos in a separate thread, please post them here as well. For future reference, it's very convenient to have all '2011 BLADE Show knives in one thread.

If anyone has trouble posting your photos, please feel free to e-mail them to me and I will get them posted up: Kj1056@aol.com

I generally star off with either Jerry Fisk or Kyle Royer depending who has knives ready and photographed.

Lets start off with Kyle's Mastersmith Test Dagger and go from there. Kyle is sanding on his MS Test "D" Guard today and then a carbon steel fighter with Walrus ivory handle to follow.

The count down has begun! Here are a couple that I will be bringing to Blade this year.

First up is a very twisted sister. Turkish twist blade, guard and pommel with a twisted blackwood handle and twisted silver wire....
12 inch blade, 17.5 OAL.

This next one was obviously inspired by our trip to visit the integral genius in the south of Brazil. It is a fully integral, 11 bar, Merovingian pattern twist.
11.5 inch blade.

See you all at Blade.

This is a light weight integral hunter Charlie just finished up. It has a 4 inch blade with a 14 inch hollow grind and is 8 1/4 inches overall. The steel is D2, the handle material is desert ironwood and the tang is tapered. It has stainless bolts and will come with a pouch type leather sheath.

It looks like this push dagger is going to make the Blade Show too. It has a 1095 blade, and a blued 1030 handle that has been engraved and gold inlayed by Jim Small.

We will also have a few of our Silent Partners with both 3.5 inch blades as well 5 inch blades made of CPM S30V.

We plan to also have a good selection of hunting knives as well as utility/combat knives on the table, but these things are hard to hang on to this time of year...

We thought we might have a few more folders this year, but we ran out of days. :grumpy:

Kyle made a very classy and classic dagger for his MS...I love it.

Adam, super cool dagger, love the damascus and the handle with the long pommel!! Great effort on the integral Bowie...Rodrigo taught you well!!

Marcel

can't believe you guys still have that pushdagger! One of the coolest knives I've seen in awhile.

Great looking knives Guys.

Lon, liking that blade and guard.

Adam, you going for your master's certification?

Thanks for starting this thread, Kevin. Now I'll know what I have to make so I don't look lame in comparison! Wasn't going to make a dagger, but after seeing the first two I may re-think my plans.

David

Just helpin' out a friend, named Curt, who is not quite computer literate! Here is one of several he will be taking to Blade, this one being an ivory boot with some bitchin' engraving by Julie W.

Most other Blade Show offerings will be in the style of the art dagger.

It looks to be shaping up to be a very good show indeed! A lot of sweet work showing up!
Thanks Marcel and Lorien. I don't do daggers often and this one was a challenge for me.
Kevin, There are a lot of things that could yet prevent me from testing, namely not finishing all my knives, but yes I would like to test for MS this year.

Well you're certainly off to a great start. Best of luck to you!

Wow... I'm betting Kyle Royer will win an award for that dagger. Beautiful.

And Adam DesRosier's is stunning as well. Interesting to compare the similarities and differences.

Nice looking stuff by all. Hope to go to Blade one of these years..

His Sendero model with a unique Mammoth Bone handle.
Jerry gives the details on this outstanding piece:

This is a Dog Star pattern damascus blade on this Sendero. A 4 and 1/2 inch blade length with a 4 ounce weight. Mammoth bone handle, stainless guard and pins with a german silver escutcheon plade. The face of the guard is engraved as well as the rest of the guard, pins and a just a touch on the escutcheon plate. I bet yall was surprised that I could spell escutcheon, just do not ask me to say it out loud. This is a nice Sendero with it being one of three pieces of the only mammoth bone I will use. Both of the others were different so this makes it a one of a kind. Your wife will be pleased when you whup this out to show her what you got.

Adam, great work. That dagger is way cool and so is the integral! Thanks for the compliments everyone!

I better get back to forging the guard for my d-guard.
