• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

BLADE SHOW ’2015' ~ Show Us What You Got!

I managed to get my last knife for the show finished last night.

This is a Small 1084 Fighter with Ironwood Burl.

I am anxious to get to Blade to meet new and old friends alike.

Thanks, Roger. A lot went into this knife. It's also my first Damascus bowie / fighter. There were soooo many places for this project to de-rail, but thankfully it all came together. Looking forward to trying more carving in the near future. See y'all soon!

If I'm not careful, I won't have any knives left by the time I get to Georgia.
It's not easy this time.
So, I sneaked one more in for Atlanta.
Do you have a "Bush Kleaver"??
You don't? Really?
(I know where you can get one! ;) )
3/8" thick 1075 and Black Canvas Micarta.
I made this for back country camping. The spade nose is for digging a latrine hole, or possibly digging a fire hole to contain coals for safety.
The cutting edge is for chopping firewood, small saplings for survival use when building a shelter, or spliting/batoning firewood for the fire.
Everybody really does need one. :D

(It's NOT light.)
