thank you so much for posting these pictures.
i'm on the other side of the globe. yet i get to see what blade show is all about.

love those fighters. thank you

Seeing all these pictures makes me feel like I'm there (well almost). Hope to come next year (damn that wedding party;)).

Thanks for showing all these photos.

Marcel

Just one day in and already a great show. My table looked a little sparse, but I had three knives in another room when the photo was taken. Meeting and seeing a lot of people I wanted to. Thanks for letting us see your review. Lin

Excellent live coverage David. You need to attend every future Blade show on our collective behalf.

Man, I just knew I'd be in love with that stag / damascus John White bowie from the little cropped sneak peek shot he posted. Brion's fighter and subhilt really look a treat as well. The Stefan Fowler subhilt on Les' table is a piece I'd really like to pick up and hold for feel.

Roger

PS - They usually post up all the award winners on a board Saturday morning - can you snap a pic of that?

can anyone tell me how crowded the sunday show will be.
i live an hour away and have to be back at work by 2:30 in the afternoon.
i plan on being there at 9 am

It will be slower Sunday, and a number of makers will be sold out. But there will still be LOTS of knives there. If I were lucky enough to be an hour away, I'd make the drive for a couple Sunday hours without a second thought.

My peeps at the show tell me that Tad Lynch won the coveted Best New Maker award at the show, on submission of this knife:

Congrats Tad! If the secret wasn't out before, it is now.

Other awards I was informed of:

Best Bowie - John Horrigan for his piece for the CKCA dinner and mini-show.

Best Damascus - John White

Best Tactical - RJ Martin (they must be about ready to retire that award with his name permanently engraved by now)

Best Fixed Blade - Steve Rapp

Peck Award - best knife submitted by a Journeyman Smith applicant - Michael Ruth Jr.

Congrats to all!

Hopefully others can help fill in the significant missing slots.

Roger
